This site is run by Bryan McGuire. This page explains what it keeps about you, and how to have it removed.

The mailing list

If you subscribe, the site stores your email address, when you signed up and confirmed, and which page you signed up from. Nothing else: no name, no tracking of what you open or click.

• Why: to email you when something new is published, and with the occasional update. You consent by signing up and confirming; nobody is added without clicking the confirmation link.
• How it's sent: from bryan@bryanmcguire.co.uk, through Hostinger's email service.
• How long it's kept: until you unsubscribe. Sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted after seven days. After you unsubscribe, the address is kept only marked as unsubscribed, so you're never emailed again. Ask and it will be deleted entirely.
• Leaving: every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
• Sharing: your address is never sold or shared with anyone.

Visits to the site

The site uses RegenInsite analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, so there's no banner to accept.

• What it records: the page you visited, the site that sent you there, your screen width, how long the page took to load, how far down you scrolled, and which links to other sites you followed.
• What it doesn't: anything you type. When you sign up to the mailing list it notes that the form was sent, not your email address. It doesn't store your IP address.
• Opting out: if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, nothing is recorded at all.

Your rights

You can ask what's held about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, by emailing bryan@bryanmcguire.co.uk. If you're unhappy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
